What is biofortification

Biofortification is that the idea of breeding crops to extend their nutritional value. this will be done either through conventional selective breeding, or through gene-splicing. Biofortification differs from ordinary fortification because it focuses on making plant foods more nutritious because the plants are growing, instead of having nutrients added to the foods once they are being processed. this is often a crucial improvement on ordinary fortification when it involves providing nutrients for the agricultural poor, who rarely have access to commercially fortified foods.
